I'm Becky Prigge with the Julie Winter-Paez Group at REMAX Property Pros in Eagle River. I'm up at my office which is in Boulder junction right now. And I just had an interesting phone call with a couple talking about how they really wanted a lake home. But they can't really afford a lake home right now. And I got to thinking, I don't know that people realize how many lakes there are in our area. It's just unbelievable. When you look at this how much water is up here? There's more water than there is land.

It just ran a quick check of the stats on the MLS as of right now. $200,000 to $400,000 price range homes on water with at least a two bedrooms one bath, at least an acre, there is 9 in Vilas and Oneida County. When I put it out to just off water homes, there's 24 available right now. So keep an open mind. Maybe it's time to consider off water. You can get to a lake up here from just about anywhere in five to 10 minutes.
