You think Eagle River, you think lakes, fun, summer, warm. What happens when those lakes freeze? Well we've hosted for 17 years the USA Pond Hockey National Championships on beautiful Dollar Lake right here in beautiful Eagle River. Well unfortunately this year, we are not able to host it out on the lake due to unsafe conditions but the World Championship Derby Complex right here in town is going to be hosting over 300 teams, men's games, women's teams, older leagues, younger leagues,  for everybody to enjoy. So here we are hosting 24 rinks that the local fire department as well as the World Championship Derby Complex team here is getting ready. So those rinks are getting iced over for all of the fun for this weekend. Over 300 teams that join us here in Eagle River for a weekend of hockey. That's not it folks, we also have a lot of other hokey going on in the area
